Alarm License
Both David and Brian hold all three of the required licenses in the State of New Jersey to work on Burglar alarms, Fire alarms, and security cameras.
As part of the requirements of the alarm license, David and Brian each take at least 26 hours of training per year. To perform any type of alarm contracting in the state of New Jersey, including security, fire, or security cameras your contractor MUST have a license.
Licensing is an important part of choosing a contractor. Being licensed by Fire Alarm, Burglar Alarm, and Locksmith Advisory Committee requires the following:
- Regular training in order to keep up with ever-changing new technologies.
- Be of good moral character.
- Passing a background check, including fingerprinting,
that the licensee has not been convicted of a crime in the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd degree within 10 years prior to being licensed. - Has adequate Liability and Worker’s Compensation
insurance.
If a contractor does not have a license, is it because they can’t meet the above requirements? All contractors must carry their license and should be happy to show their license if asked.
